Book summary of a 60 second leadership

We all have heard about these in our school. To those who were pretty good in English still remember what the pronoun is.

To those similar to me who had a hard time with grammar. Let's see what the pronoun is.

Pronoun:- It is a word that replaces a noun in a sentence.
Eg:- They are weak.
        They are uncaring.
        They are a pronoun.
Now, let's find out what the author is trying to tell us with an example.

Think about your leadership team interaction. You were talking, leading and strategizing.
When you came to the point of indirectly referencing one of your teammates, did you do so by name or pronoun?

Eg:- Take him with you on the next call.
Take John with you on the next call.

Now think which of this example make you feel better.
We all know the answer. Don't we 😉

Many leaders make this mistake often and we know they care but their words don't tell a caring story at times.

We all know what Dale Carnegie said in his book "How to Win Friends and Influence People".

" Remember that a person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language".

Key Lesson:- Person's own name is the single most important word to him/her. Our name is intimately tied to our identity and value as a human being.

Conclusion:- Names matter.

A person's name- how you use it has a profound effect on their impressions of you.

Keep it personal by NAME when it comes to your family, team and friends.
