Book summary of a 60 second leadership

In this chapter, the author talks about the past incident of a local car wash. Let's see what we can learn from this incident.

The author went to a local car wash for quick cleaning and waited as we all do.

Don't customers just love waiting? 😉

Isn't that what retailers strive for?

So, the author was waiting. He sat there for 5-7 minutes and no one came by.

No one came to greet him saying :

"We will be right with you
                   OR
" Sorry for the delay"

So, all the marketing, branding, location costs - all of it spent to get him or somebody else to come by was wasted in his case.

So, he left and told people. Lots of them. As we would have done in his case. 😅

He went there of pure convenience. This time he was lucky enough to get someone.
The car was cleaned but still lousy service.

Difficult to do business with.

Barriers.

Makes NO sense to him.

How about you?

Ask yourself this?

Is it easy to do business with you?

Is your team making it easy to work with?

Do they greet people right away with a smile and good attitude?

Do you have the eternal phone tree for those of us calling in or a real person available to talk to another real person?

Now, the hard?

What about you as a person?

Are you easy to do business with?

Are you easy to talk to?

Key Lesson:- People tend to take the path of least resistance. Think about it. Learn from it. Customer service success will become much easier when you do.

Conclusion:-

Be easy to do business with.

 Be easy to talk to.

Be Fun, Interesting.

Be Engaged.
