3. Leaders Treat People into Existence

"You'll lead far more effectively when you learn to treat people into existence."

The rest of the world generally focuses on what people do wrong, we must catch people doing the right things.

Rather than seeing people where they are, we would be better to see them where they can be. These may take a little faith and encouragement but in the long term, it's very effective.

Here is an example of an above incident from the author's life.

When the author was in the role of selling for the local company with a locally competitive mindset. His manager mentioned that he was tracking at a nationally competitive level which he was unaware.

This statement elevated author from being locally competitive to seeing himself as a nationally competitive sales leader which he hit in a few years later.

Key Lesson:- If you want to develop a strong team irrespective of the field - learn the patience and perspective of seeing people beyond their current state.

Conclusion:- People will generally rise to our level of expectation especially with those who respect us most.

If you want a great team, treat people into existence.

How are you treating the people around you???

Are you helping them become a better version of themselves ?? 🤔
